Kamala and Timmy are happy
Kamala and Timmy. Does that read like a morning show for kids?
Kamala and Timmy are happy. Happy to be on stage, happy to be together, and happy to be with the audience. Happy, happy, happy.
They seem well-matched. He bounces around the stage, waving his arms and shouting…about something. And she positions herself behind the podium (and teleprompter)…and grins. Big fixed grins. And raucous laughs. Who knew things were this good?
Milk and egg prices are off the charts, rents are sky high, and gasoline is stubbornly above $3.00, but the happy duo got a tickle in the ribs when the Fed lowered interest rates on September 18th, a mere six weeks before the election.
But what do lower interest rates mean for the average U.S. voter? If you cannot repay your student loan, what difference does it make? If you cannot qualify for a mortgage, what difference does it make? If you have no credit, what difference does it make?
It will be interesting to watch the VP debate. Mr Happy, who resigned from his 20+ year National Guard career to avoid deployment, vs. the hillbilly from Ohio who actually served in Iraq.
Who will be laughing when it is over?
